The Long Night is Over


Welp, here it is. After ten days, and roughly twenty of my last twenty-four hours, it's out. It's not exactly what I wanted to end up with. There's still a fair few unused sounds and dialogue in the project that needs to be implemented, I didn't manage to make the ending cutscene I wanted, and it's still very unpolished. 

But I'm also very proud of it and all the work I did on it over these last few days. Every single physical object in the game was created, animated, and textured by me in Blender, and I feel like I really grew a lot when it comes to my animation abilities having to work with the very specific art style of the PS1. This is also the first game I've really seriously submitted to a Jam before. So, lots of milestones to be happy about. Now, as I'm about to pass out at my keyboard, 

I just wanted to say how thankful I am for all the people who have helped me during this project. From the listed contributors on the game to all of the people throughout the various Discord servers I've badgered that have give me praise, critique, and ideas to marinate over. It's been a wild few days, and I can't wait to do another.

Maybe after a nap first.
